Danish electronics manufacturer Bang & Olufsen has announced its decision to begin production of mobile phones and even some types of equipment such as DVD-drives. Now the company is going through difficult times (again this global financial crisis). It seems that marketers realized that “people want to spend less on phones”, – said Karollina Malanezia, analyst of “Gartner Telecoms”.
However, the company would likely be able to stay afloat even releasing phones for 800 euros, paying special attention to their design or shell materials.
Of course, the demand for mobile phones is still outstripping, but few people want to throw their money away, buying Serenata.
So we don’t know the reason, but we will unlikely see new mobile phones from the company Bang & Olufsen. But, nevertheless, it is nice to know that somewhere on the shelves, are such rarities as Serene and Serenata.
