Okay, so Symbian^3 is still just a glint in our eyes, but that launch date  is fast approaching and here’s a neat little accessory to keep up excitement for the platform: the Mobile TV Headset.

You know how most phones use the cord of your earphones as an FM aerial? Well, this thing does the same, only with DVB-H  teevee signals, piping them straight through into your USB-on-the-go-equipped Nokia handset. It comes with channel-changing, call-receiving, and volume controls, and will set you back €40 ($51) before taxes in Q4 of this year.

laptopspeaker-thumb-500x469-29893This AQ Amigo speaker is one of those products you can tell won’t work very well just by looking at it. With speakers, they need depth to produce good sound. That’s just the physical constraints of speakers, you can’t argue with it.

But this thing, which is less than an inch thick and is designed to stupidly latch onto the top of your laptop screen, will in no way produce anything approaching good sound. And did I mention it hooks onto the top of your screen for some dumb reason? Yep. Just get normal desk speakers. They will sound and look better, I promise.

500x_regen-reverb

As much as I would like to go gaga over this new solar-powered iPod dock from Regen, I might have to pass on this one. A three-foot high device is not exactly my cup of tea.

Same as with Regen’s Renu, this new one (called Reverb) will both amaze and appall you. It is capable of shelling out 60 watts of power straight from the sun’s rays. The Reverb can also generate enough electricity to play your music for 4.5 hours at full volume and 12 hours at normal volume.

The device will, however, take 20 hours in order to get a full charge from the sun. But if you’re not that patient, you can plug it in an electric socket.

Honestly though, do you think a $2,229 worth of solar cells is something you need for an iPod dock. If only environmental geeks can produce eco-friendly gadgets for a cheaper price, then maybe there’s hope for climate change after all.

The Reverb will make its debut in April 2010.
