Finally, someone is figuring out that if you want a PC in your home theater, you’ll be needing a decent, hardware keyboard. Here’s one of the best ideas yet, and it looks a whole lot like a Blackberry: It’s a wireless USB keyboard and touchpad that might be just what you need.
We like its backlit keyboard and radio-frequency (RF) operation, using the 2.4GHz band, so you don’t have to worry about pointing the device directly at the receiver. While this little handset looks kind of cheap, it’s more portable than a standard-sized keyboard, and its touchpad takes the place of a bulky mouse. If you look at the white one in the gallery below, it actually doesn’t look half bad.
This is a heck of a sight better than those horrendous on-screen keyboards that you navigate with a remote control. Think about it — how many button presses does it take to spell your name? About 50? It’s absurd. Drop $61 on this tiny keyboard, and solve that problem once and for all. Here’s a video of the device in action:
Just like the first model released by this company, the new Pogoplug allows “for USB drive sharing over the Internet.” This device can also automatically sync content with your Macbook or PC.

More, you can share and watch movies, listen to music and view photos directly through the Pogoplug website. And if you’re thinking that visiting the website is too tedious just to watch movies or listen to music, you can also do all these features through your iPhones. Compared with the old version, this new Pogoplug model adds a drag-and-drop interface and sharing over media sites like Twitter and Facebook.
For $129 without service fees, this Pogoplug that takes up to four USB drives is as good as you can get. But with this device, you have to rely on the company’s ability to stay in business to continue sharing files over the Internet.

The first phone with a built-in support for the Facebook integration has finally been formally announced. The device name is INQ1, but its design seems to have been borrowed from Nokia N85.
In addition to support for Facebook, it cooperats with the new last.fm, Skype and Windows Live Messenger. Moreover, the work with the Internet has never brought a much fun as with a browser built on WebKit.

3 INQ1 has a 2.2-inch display, QVGA, displaying 256 colors and 3.2-megapixel camera. With 50 MB of built-in and 4GB of additional memory (probably because there is an expansion slot), INQ1 can accommodate your entire collection of favorite tracks. Regarding the interface, it automatically changes orientation with built-in accelerometer.
It plans to launch several devices in its Skype-line under the brand INQ. And in this line, of course, INQ1 will be the flagship.
INQ1 will appear in black and silver palette, but how soon is not yet known. The price is not known yet, but according to rumors it would be something around 115 euros.
When I was in Egypt, I could not decide what kind of souvenir to bring home. Frankly, nothing suitable has been found. And, perhaps, I was right. After all this new gadget is no worse than craft, which is sold to gullible tourists, and Pharaonic style is quite recognizable.

Golden flashes in the ancient Egyptian style are, of course, not made of gold, but it does not make them less attractive (but makes much more affordable). Sphinx and Egyptian can be excellent souvenirs for all fans of Egypt.
Like most stylized flash drives, these gadgets are equipped with two gigabytes of memory, compatible with USB 2.0 and can work with Windows Vista, XP, 2000 and Mac OS. The USB connector can be removed inside the case that will not spoil the view of little things, when it is not used.
Buy them here for $ 22.

This little gadget has all the right to be named the “smallest high-sensitivity USB microphone”. Its dimensions are 3,8 x 2,5 x 0,6 cm.
But do not let the size confuse you, this kid is able to record sound at a distance of 15 meters! Thus it does not have any extra wires that could get lost or simply broken.
You can also listen to all that is recorded in real time thanks to the built-in headphone. While replaying the technology create a virtual 5.1 sound from regular stereo can be used.
The gadget is compatible with both PC, and with the MAC. You can get it at Planet Headset for $ 59.
All laptops are good, but not substitute for a mouse to a touchpad. How much I tried, but still could not get used to it. Of course, there are smaller versions of normal mice, but none of them can be compared with MA-BTCARD.
New MA-BTCARD mouse while folded fits into a standard TypeII PC card slot. There, it can travel without taking up space (and gaining power on the way), and if necessary, you can simply drag it, expand and start working.

The mouse does not require wires, as it works on the Bluetooth connection. Incidentally, this also means that it can work as a Bluetooth pendant. The time of continuous operation from a single charge is 5 hours. Not so much, but on the other side and a laptop itself will unlikely work continuously for such a long time. The mouse is adapted to work with Windows XP and Vista operating systems, that is why there is no guarantee of proper operation with other operating systems.

Not so long ago we wrote about a rather interesting gadget, which will like all the fans of our blog. Of course, we talk about the USB microscope. This gadget certainly will be interesting for all the inquisitive readers of our site.
If you already thought about buying the device, do not hurry to order the last model? The new and improved version is in sale. And it is cheaper, so you can even save.

A new model of the microscope can make color images with a resolution up to 1600 × 1200, record video and carry a program that provides 2 gigabytes of disk space on the internet, so you can share your observations with the world. The ability to increase remains equal to up to 200 times, but it is not too little. Microscope Dimensions are: 14 x 12 x 7 centimeters.
To buy a gadget here will cost 50 pounds (about $ 80).
One of the most essential gadgets now, of course, is the USB hub. But just to use a hub is not quite interesting, the up-to-date mandatory condition is to have multifunctional devices. Well, the new gadget satisfies both conditions.
We have a long discussion on what is the essensial role of the gadget and agreed to the fact that it’s still a clock with a calendar and a thermometer equipped with USB hub, and not vice versa. Why so? Judge yourself.

The gadget displays the date, time and temperature on a pretty transparent display. Does not require drivers, and is equipped with a standard set of buttons that allows you to customize clock. Hub 4-port works with USB ports version.
The USB version inclines me to believe that first of all it is still a clock.
However, the cost of the gadget is well worth the small drawback. You can purchase it for $ 14 in the Gadget4All store.
We haven’t written about chargers for a long time. But we absolutely do not want to present just another gadget “charging a dozen phones from one socket”, as there are too many of them already. And there are few people who have more than five phones / gadgets / players to charge at home. And this is not the problem anymore. Quite another thing is the road. Charging, especially emergently, on the road always caused some difficulties. This gadget is just for such a case.

If you hike for a long time, and the battery of the phone is low, and you cannot see any markings in the dark, which will help your friends to find you and you can’t get a taxi- it would be better to have a handy USB Power Bar. This little gadget is a battery that can recharge your mobile phone, and at the same time, a flashlight, allowing not to get lost in the darkness.
The kit comes with 7 various adapters for the most common models of mobile phones.
You can buy battery-flashlight for $32 in USBGeek store.
