The European Commission has stated that the leading manufacturers of mobile phones should come to an agreement and adopt a microUSB port, as a universal charger connector.
This will allow people to use one charger for all phones in the house.
This is not only convenient, but also prevents pollution. More than 4,000 tons of accessories are thrown out each year: people are changing phones and do not store accessories of their old phones.
Many companies such as Nokia, Samsung, LG, Motorola, RIM and others have begun to equipp phones with microUSB.
