Tired of all those Nintendo DSi and the Sony PSP Go? You just want to play old and beloved SuperMario, LoadRunner, or Street Fighter? This gadget has been created for those who want to go back to their childhood: it is a pocket retro games emulator.

Buttons of the console exactly repeat the Dendy joysticks layout (known worldwide as the NES). The gadget runs games from (ROM), which can be easily found using any search engine. Games are 8-bit (NES, Dendy, GameBoy) and 16-bit (SNES, Sega Megadrive / Genesis).

Naturally, the gadget can be used as the media player: there is a display 2.8 “QVGA, 4GB internal  memory and additional slot for SD cards. Also this “gaming media” is equipped with stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone output, TV-output port and mini USB. The gadget supports all the popular formats: FLV, WMV, ASF, RM, AVI, MPEG, MP4, RMVB, SWF, MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC.

And that’s not all that it has! The gadget can also be used as an FM-tuner, voice recorder or a reader of electronic books (with the function of text-to-speech).

You can buy this wonderful multi-functional game console for only 100 bucks.

these things look great – but i wonder why the actually console makers (nintendo, sega, etc) don’t just make things like this themselves…

But what is it called, and where can you buy it?

@James the product name is: Pocket Retro Game Emulator

@jamie dalgetty: if they make such things they will be too expensive to sell. Thus they prefer to go into netbook, notebook, laptop, mobile businesses rather than this (this is just my guess)

@J please see my post above on where you can buy it.
