Pleo is a small but very lively and intelligent robot dinosaur. It behaves like a real one, made on the type of an ancient Camarasaurus. Its designer is Caleb Chung, the production and sale is carried out by Ugobe company.
Pleo is very clever, it can respond to sounds, when you touch it, it responds with name. It also remembers everything that is going around.
By the way, the robot can recognize another robot Pleo and can play and communicate with it.
Pleo has about 20 cm height, about 1,3 kg weight. It does not need any remote control, it expresses its feelings and emotions, makes sounds and moves, etc. when it wishes.
Pleo can convey moods, anger, caution, a desire to embrace, boredom, playfulness, disgust, fear, curiosity, joy, sorrow, surprise, fatigue, hunger, desire to communicate, etc – about 50 emotions. For this it has a very modern artificial intelligence.
Now Pleo is particularly well known in the West. Recently, the manufacturing company has released the updated software. For the first time the robot was introduced in February 2006, at the DEMO conference. Sales began in December 2007, and since that it has become very popular in the whole world.
