Mophie’s Juice Packs are a nice way to give additional juice to your iPhone but OTAS, a Japanese company, thinks that it has a rather good alternative too.
The company has come up with a new ultra slim and light battery for the iPhone 4, namely the Apocket B1100. The battery adds just 15mm and 51g to your iPhone and will apparently improve the phone’s battery life by 50%, thanks to its internal 1,100mAh battery. The Apocket B1100 also adds a microUSB port at the bottom of the device, allowing you to sync and charge the battery via a simple USB cable.
We gadget nerds have to endure unspeakable atrocities in order to slake that early adoption jones: first-run gear shipped DOA, buggy pre-release software, and months of waiting after a product leaks only to be greeted by a jacked-up price premium at launch. So we feel your pain, original Kindle owners, after Amazon announced a major firmware update that brings native PDF support to the 6-inch Kindle 2 and DX readers with the promise of a staggering 85% increase in battery life to all Kindle 2 devices — if you haven’t already received it OTA, the 2.3 software update is now available for download and installation via USB tethering. At least owners of “some earlier versions of Kindle” (quote from the press release) will receive native PDF support whenever the 1st generation firmware update (currently at version 1.2) is released. It’s worth noting that Amazon’s PDF reader lacks a zoom function which makes many PDFs entirely unreadable on the device. Good thing Amazon’s store is chock full of easily zoomable books in a proprietary format then, huh?
Today we are going to introduce a pen with a camera and microphone.
New spy toy called “DVR-BP” has been released by a Japanese Digital Cowboy company.
DVR-BP is equipped with a camera, microphone, battery, enough for two hours of continuous recording, and two gigabytes of memory for storing video.
Separately it is necessary to mention the convenience of interaction with the computer – DVR-BP features a standard USB connector.
The cost of the novelty is ¥17,800 (about $175), but you can only buy it on the site of the manufacturer (where everything is, unfortunately, in Japanese).
Every motorist has faced with a situation where he/she needs to go somewhere urgently, but the battery of the car is discharged.
Usually, to solve this problem you turn to your friend and ask him for a light, but you have to open the bonnets of both cars and connect a special cable, through which the working car provides some charge to the battery.
But the gadget called Easy Quick Jumper allows to simplify this process and to charge the battery without opening the bonnet, and using the cigarette lighter’s socket. Thus, the “revitalization” of your car is reduced up to 5-10 minutes and do not need to bother with a special cable.
The device has two indicators that show the current mode of operation, length of the wire is about 5 meters, and when you use Easy Quick Jumper – don’t forget which car is connected to the end of the cable.
The price of this gadget is 26 dollars.
SelfCharge Auto Jumper is a compact device which is capable to revive the battery during 5-10 minutes. It is connected to the cigarette lighter socket, so you do not have to open the bonnet once again.

Sometimes there are situations where you need to talk to someone without attracting anyone’s attention, especially in one of the most common situations – exams. Although Bluetooth-headsets are used for these purposes for quite a long time, but the risk of being noticed by the examiner remains high, especially for those students who do not have long hair.
In this case, the transfer of the verbal information can be concealed by an earphone, which the manufacturer calls the smallest in the world. In fact, headphones are quite conditional – it can be perfectly placed inside the ear. Small size is achieved due to the device which transmits the audio signal directly to man’s audio analyzers, using the so-called “passive” vibration.
Despite the fact that the headset does not need any built-in speaker or battery, it is a part of the whole system. For it to work you should put on the induction transmitter (which is easily hidden under clothing), as well as a supersensitive microphone cover for the withdrawal of the alarm. You can even hear the whisper at a distance of several meters while using a microphone.
In addition, a part of this system is a button to transfer an audio alarm on the air, which aligns with the help of a long wire and is usually placed under big toe. Headset supports Bluetooth technology and can be used with mobile phones and other devices that support this technology, up to a distance of 10 meters. The whole system operates with a battery or a rechargeable battery.
In other words, you cannot only write what your friend dictates you on the phone during the exams, but also hear hints at seminars and workshops, as well as eavesdrop on other people and use the system in other situations. The size of this device is only 6,2×7,8 millimeters, and the system can be purchased for $170.
