q2_cube_radio_2Radios these days have become a thing of the past. As technology progresses, so does radios went into oblivion. But the Q2 Cube Radio makes owning another one of this classic audio gadget exciting and cool.

The Q2 Cube Radio has no dials for channel surfing or volume. With the Q2 Cube, you only have to twist and turn it around if you want to change channels or increase the volume.

In order to change the volume or radio stations, you just tilt or rotate the small cube. It works because of the gravity switch that is inside the cube.

However, the radio cube is still in the early stages of development. The company is only showing it to the general public, and they haven’t released a pricing for it yet. Hopefully, we can get a full blast of this cube when the time comes.

qooq-550x309

Gadgets have been known to make life easier for us. And the next one is no different. The Qooq is a kitchen computer that comes with 10 recipes from chefs in video. It can also connect to the Internet, and have regular updates based on a monthly subscription fee.

The computer also has a meal planner and a shopping list maker that will help you in all your cooking and shopping needs. It doesn’t have an Internet browser, however, but it can be used to update recipes, weather information and Internet radio stations. Qooq can also be used as a digital photo frame.

The device has a 10.2-inch touchscreen display and onscreen keyboard. And if you fear that sauces or oils might splash on this little gadget, be assured that it has a glass screen to protect the device.

Qooq comes with a 500 preloaded, interactive recipes that is written in French (unfortunately). The main device costs €349 plus €12.95 monthly for updates.

If you liked the idea of the Sound Egg but not so much its aesthetics, say hello the Martin Emila’s Media Chair. It’s the same idea: a comfy chair set up with speakers focused right at your head, but one that looks a lot classier. You know, without all that sound-dampening foam stapled in there.

With the Media Chair, you get to pick the color of the chair itself as well as the color and pattern of the fabric of the seat. At least, in theory, as this is just a concept. Which I guess, in the end, gives the Sound Egg a leg up. Being real and all.

When I was in Egypt, I could not decide what kind of souvenir to bring home. Frankly, nothing suitable has been found. And, perhaps, I was right. After all this new gadget is no worse than craft, which is sold to gullible tourists, and Pharaonic style is quite recognizable.

7
Golden flashes in the ancient Egyptian style are, of course, not made of gold, but it does not make them less attractive (but makes much more affordable). Sphinx and Egyptian can be excellent souvenirs for all fans of Egypt.
Like most stylized flash drives, these gadgets are equipped with two gigabytes of memory, compatible with USB 2.0 and can work with Windows Vista, XP, 2000 and Mac OS. The USB connector can be removed inside the case that will not spoil the view of little things, when it is not used.
Buy them here for $ 22.
