Every day we write about the latest gadgets in the world, but today we would like to draw your attention not on a gadget. We have all heard that often the cost of the gadget does not exceed the value of its production, as the main revenue producers receive the related fee-based services (the sale of music, programs, books, subscriptions, etc.). And to complete the background we have only to recall the system of additional contract mobile operators that allow buying a new phone model for peanuts.
The operator Vodafone UK has announced that will spread netbooks Samsung NC10 with built-in 3G modem in the country. We’d like to point out its main characteristics:
- Diagonal LCD screen 10.2 inches
- Screen resolution 1024×600 points
- Processor Intel Atom
- RAM 1 GB
- Hard Drive 160 GB
So, the operator gives a laptop to its subscribers for free. But for it you have to sign a contract for 25 pounds per month (1GB traffic) or 30 pounds per month (3GB) for 24 months.

If you have a full 3G coverage this is an excellent variant. Let’s hope that this method of propagation of netbooks will be taken by other operators in other countries. I would be happy to have such a contract, and what about you?
