Again, Nokia cannot keep track of the development of its phones, because this time the pirates have leaked information about its next new product bearing the code name Wahoo. The device has a semi-QWERTY keyboard and built-in GPS. It looks a bit like the new BlackBerry Pearl Flip and will be released to the market exclusively by the AT & T operator.

It will also operate in dual-band HSDPA and have a 2-megapixel camera, support for Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, 80 MB of internal memory and the possibility of its further expansion through microSD slot.

The latest novelty from LG – LG KP500, nicknamed as LG Cookie, immediately attracts by its incredibly modest cost – only 170 euros.
The design has common features with sensational LG Renoir. LG KP500 works on the latest version of “native” LG interface, which has become even more comfortable and functional. Control of the phone is optimized for the fingers, but the set includes stylus, and the phone supports handwriting recognition. In addition, it’s very easy to work on the touch QWERTY keyboard with the stylus.

The thickness of LG KP500 is only 11.9 mm; it is the thinnest phone with a stylus stored in the shell. LG Cookie has a 3-inch TFT touch screen display and a 3-megapixel camera with auto focus. Instead of 3G, it supports EDGE and operates in GSM.
Unfortunately, the video quality will be far from typical of an LG camera phone – KP500 can only record QVGA video at 12 frames per second.
It also plays DivX and XviD video, recognizing only MPEG4 at 24 frames per second and with maximum resolution of 240 x 400 pixels.

Great news for fans of Android: soon, in the market, there will appear two more Android devices with QWERTY keyboards and touch screen – HTC Lancaster and Motorola Heron.

HTC Lancaster is the successor of HTC Dream, looks more impressive than the previous one.

In the list of characteristics can be found all that we can expect from a smart phone: Qualcomm MSM7225 processor with a clock speed of 528 MHz, 2.8-inch QVGA touch display, 3-megapixel camera, physical QWERTY keyboard and a full set of communication – HSDPA, Wi – Fi, GPS with support for A-GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB, and memory expanding slot microSD.

It is not yet known what version of Android is set to a novelty, but on Aug. 3, after its release on the market, we will know all the information.

As for Motorola Heron, its ability is the same as that of HTC Lancaster.

Motorola Heron has the same processor and screen, QWERTY keyboard, 3 megapixel camera with LED flash and the possibility of recording QVGA video at a frequency of 24 frames per second. All possible networks are also present: HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS with support for A-GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB, and memory expanding slot microSD.

Interesting point: Motorola Heron was originally designed as a Windows Mobile device, so it is very strange that it is Android.
Motorola Heron will appear on the shelves on the 2nd of November this year.

At the conference which ended today, D7 presented a prototype e-book reader from Plastic Logic, differing with quite a compact size and interesting features.

Touch screen based on electronic ink in this reader has a size of 8.5 X11 inch (about 22h28 cm), it is equipped with Wi-Fi and 3G and will be released in 2010. We do not have more detailed technical data yet, but it is obvious that the manufacturer will be guided by similar gadgets from Amazon. The only thing that can be stated for sure, this reader will be very thin.

The user interface gadget, according to the representative of the company, differs from all the existing reader interfaces in the world. Lack of buttons is offset by touch screen, through which all the management is performed. Hitting various corners of the screen allows you to pull up the menu, the bookmark or add this page to your favorites. For entering data, you can use the virtual QWERTY keyboard. Also there is an interesting opportunity to leave handwritten notes.

Changing pages is done quite slowly, but the manufacturer promises to improve this option prior to the issuance of the gadget on the market. The price of the reader has not yet been defined, but presumably will be less than $ 500.
